I have amassed quite a few design and development resources in my time and finally wish to share my favorites with you in one big huge great list for anyone and everyone to learn to design and develop websites as well as grow your skills at being a designer or developer. These happen to be the ones I can most recently remember. This list is under no particular order as of yet.

Textures.com is a website that offers digital pictures of all sorts of materials. They have pictures of fabrics, wood, metal, bricks, plastic, and many more.

Smashing Magazine

W3 Schools

Not yet endorsed by the World Wide Web Consortium, however, their tutorials are accurate towards their standards and best practices.

PHP

MySQL

Joomla

My second favorite open-source web infrastructure functions much more effectively as a content management system than it does a blog and also can be engineered into applications.

phpBB is an Internet forum package in the PHP scripting language. The name “phpBB” is an abbreviation of PHP Bulletin Board. Available under the GNU General Public License, phpBB is free and open-source.

Wikimedia

jQuery

One decent and reliable web host that offers private registration of domains and the largest assortments of unique domain extensions that can be registered.

Firefox

This by far and in my honest opinion is the greatest of all time open-source browser available for free on the internet.
I will battle you for disagreeing.

Notepad++

This is by far the best text editor accessible on the web and it doesn’t disappoint with its versatile plugins that make developing with this more effective and efficient.

Filezilla

This is a ftp client that can be used to login to web hosts and upload and download files from the web hosts.
